Have a fun ongoing quest when going places

My friends know that whenever I’m going to a new city, I’ll always open the Little Free Library app to map the closest one to me. I then make it a point to go check at least one out during outlet stay. It’s an easy and fun quest that works both locally and internationally.

I’ve recently gotten introduced to geocaching. Same quest principle can be applied. New city? Try and find one geocache!

Other ideas to get past the “try the local coffee shop”: find a community garden or local art piece, visit and independent bookstore or track down a weird landmark.

Move about the world via quests. It’s much more fun!
