This derrière at the Louvre’s “Michelangelo Rodin - Living bodies (15 April – 20 July 2026)” exhibit

Why do I recommend this backside? Just look at that tooshie, sculpted by a Western master, Rodin himself. This rump is plump, muscular, and downright sexy! Michelangelo’s sculpture, visible in the background, seems almost to be pining for such a delightful bum.

You wouldn’t think those buttocks were made of marble: they look more like a baby’s bottom than a pair of buns of steel. And yet—marble they are!

The Louvre’s exhibit created a fascinating continuum between the two artists, a conversation across centuries about the beauty of the human body. And really, what’s not to recommend about art that celebrates both what gives us life and the home in which we live?

I also happen to enjoy the eye candy of a good butt. Sue me.
